About Us

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is elected from the APSA membership and consists of a President and Vice President elected for a one year term and seven Area Directors elected for a two year term. The immediate Past President is an Ex-Officio Director of the Board. The individuals elected to these positions volunteer their time to serve on the Board.

The mandate of the Board is to provide leadership and direction to staff and committees as well as participate in various activities as required. A strategic plan was initiated by the Board in order to provide the required direction to both staff and committees.

Jeff Bryer
President

Jeff’s commitment to APSA is long standing. Over his twelve years with SFU, eight of those have involved volunteering with APSA as Area Director, Vice President, Past President and President. When he joined APSA, Jeff was looking to gain a better understanding of the how the Association and the University work. But his main reason for getting involved with the Board of Directors is the same today as it was eight years ago – to help serve the Association. Outside of APSA, Jeff works in SFU's IT Infrastructure as a Systems Administrator, and enjoys playing board and card games.
